Your  Voice in La Mirada Council District 1 

My name is John Lewis, I am proud to be your City Councilmember for District 1, and I'm committed to making your voice heard in La Mirada. Like you, I want to play an active role in making my community a safer, more active and thriving place to raise my children, run my business, and forge a future filled with unlimited promise. 


I have a unique perspective on the City of La Mirada, and District 1, as I am, and have been, involved in this community as the following:

  • I have lived in both major neighborhoods of District 1. Both on Tacuba Drive and Foster Road and understand the unique needs and issues of our district. 


​I live, work, and serve in this great city.  As your voice from District 1, we can work together make this community an even better place to live and make our local businesses thrive. We can forge a shared vision of improving public safety, businesses, and community cohesion and set the standard for the next decade of prosperous community living in this great city of ours.


As your responsive representative, I always have an open door policy on social media including responding to concerns and suggestions on NextDoor, Facebook, Twitter and even email. Let's make a meaningful difference together--for the sake of our families and our shared community.
